The Long Story
My journey as a professional writer began after graduating from Syracuse University in the spring of 2014. Armed with a thirst for adventure and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Rhetoric, I moved west to Denver, Colorado.
I found myself working as both a freelance journalist and a marketing coordinator, honing my skills in content marketing, blog strategy, magazine journalism, book editing, social media management and more.
Though I was happy with my life and career in Colorado, I knew there was more out there for me.
To find out what that was, I embarked on the trip of a lifetime. I begun my solo trip across the world in May of 2018. Taking my freelance work with me to fund my adventures, I made stops in Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. From staying at a yoga retreat on a remote island in Indonesia, to volunteering at a health center in Australia, this trip helped my passion for yoga and wellness blossom to its full potential.
Upon returning back to the states, I knew it was time to turn this passion into a career that was more representative of my personal values. Becoming a certified yoga teacher was a turning point for me in realizing that yoga is not just a passion, but a way of life. Pivoting my writing career toward writing about wellness only seemed like the perfect way to fully align my passions with my work.
Now, I have the honor of helping others tune into their needs, find their breath and live a healthier, more enlightened life.
